I thought since this was my first wedding I’ve ever blogged that I was going to write this big elaborate summery of the day and talk about how truly magical it was, but I’m going to let Diane tell it in her own words and let the photo’s be my words. So hit the play button on the audio and enjoy.
“Siiiigh. . .Our wedding was the most fun day of our lives. We’re still in a state of disbelief that it’s over, and that we can’t go back and do it all over again. There were so many special moments of our wedding that made it an unforgettable experience. Jason and I are a long time in the making. We met the first day of college – 10 years ago – and have since then been: friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, exes, rekindled romantics, fiances, and now husband and wife. We learned after trying out all the options that our current state is the one we prefer 🙂 I was filled with an indescribable amount comfort and happiness that day. Sometimes life takes you down twisty paths and you just have to trust that in the end something amazing will come of it; and it did. I am also ever grateful that my sweet Dad was able to be at our wedding. After a very shocking diagnosis of stage IV lung cancer early in the summer, he began treatment and underwent chemotherapy throughout the planning of our wedding. The day of our wedding my dad was tired but noticeably happy, and walked me down the isle along with my Mom. He then shocked us all at the reception, as he proved to be one of the most spirited people on the dance floor. His energy was as contagious as it had always been. My Dad lost his battle with cancer this past winter; and the photos of him, looking so happy from that day surround me at home, and comfort me when I’m missing him.Our wedding was filled with all of people who we love, who fill our lives every day with so much joy. -Diane and Jason”
