I meet a lot of new people all the time doing this job. People find me in the strangest ways and bring me into their lives and families for a day or two or three to document these rare moments. Sometimes the first time we meet face to face is the day I’m photographing their engagement session or wedding. We might have skyped before but the first face to face interaction is with my camera in hand. But other times my job reunites me with old friends. I grew up going to middle and high school with Jessalyn and hadn’t seen her since. After graduating high school and 10 years passing, Jessalyn sends me a message telling me she’s found the man of her dreams and wants me to document it. It’s amazing how time passes. I headed up to NYC to shoot their snowy winter session in Manhattan. Starting on the roof of their building, hanging out in their nearby subway stop, over to frozen central park, then to their favorite local bar, Penrose, and finishing up with the epic views from Long Island City. I’m stoked to share this sesh with you and even more stoked to shoot their wedding this summer. Jessalyn+Rob.
