Pretty much right out of high school, I impulsively joined the Army. I didn’t really know what I was getting into but I knew it was going to be an adventure. I ended up deploying twice but it was during my first tour in Afghanistan when I found my love for photography. I bought a decent camera and started shooting this crazy part of the world where I called home for a year. National Geographic shot a documentary (Inside The Green Berets) on my camp and ended up using my photos to promote their documentary. I was instantly turned on by the thrill of telling stories through images. Not to sound cheesy but it’s a pretty great feeling when you finally find the one thing you want to do for the rest of your life.

Phil Sara Paris Wedding

My wife Sara K is the brightest part of my life. Not only is she an insanely talented photographer, shes the weirdest funniest sweetest person I know.

We compiled some clips we shot on the 8mm iPhone app into a sweet little viddy.

We're just…

BRING US BOTH

While Sara has her own wedding photography business, we get to shoot a few wedding together every year. And its awesome. We inspire each other, bring twice the energy and good vibes and Sara’s beautiful mind and eye. Its pretty fun to be photographed as a couple by a couple that gets it. You can totally book us as a package for a nominal additional fee.

We fill our days with making espresso at home, working out, reading books out loud to each other, going on walks and talking about how nice the neighbors lawns are, watching comedy specials/improv shows, cooking delicious healthy meals together, and chilling with our cat babies, Sara has been really into painting lately and I've been trying to write more music. All in all we try to not take life too seriously and make the most of the time we have on earth.

Meet Pancakes & Pinecone.

They're brothers and the most social kitties ever. They love chasing flies, zooming around after a good poop, and waking us up at 6am everyday sticking their paws in our eyes. We love them.
